RV Trip USA – Los Angeles
So by now we were breaking up the road trip with a nice balance between nature/wildlife and city/urban tours and our next stop was Los Angeles. We allocated about 3 full days here allowing us time to check out the city, beaches, streets etc and then spend a full day at Universal Studios and another full day at Disneyland.
Quite possibly we have never seen a Highway busier than the one leading into LA and trying to find the perfect place to exit got very confusing. As soon as we saw the sign for Sunset Boulevard, we knew we were on the right track.
We spent our first afternoon driving around and decided to park the RV in no other than Rodeo Drive…Baby.
Our first evening was spent in Venice Beach. We had dinner on the boardwalk in among the many many tattoo parlours. Avid skate boarders made their way to the beach – so keen a skater that some were still dressed in their work suits when they hit the half pipe. The beach itself was not extremely pretty and everyone told us that if we wanted to surf we had to make our way to Malibu.
Excuse all the photos of street signs in our photo gallery but you’ll understand that when you have been looking at these on movies and TV shows for years, its pretty exciting to actually be seeing them for real.
